On January 12, 2024, Butler County AVTS students competed in the District SkillsUSA competitions.  Below is the list of Knoch students who earned a medal.  Students who earned a gold medal will be competing at the state competition in Hershey, PA, April 3-5.  Additionally, students whose competitions award them a bye to states are noted, along with those students who will attend as delegates on behalf of BCAVTS.

 

Gold medalists who won the opportunity to compete in Hershey April 3-5:

 

Oleena Antkowiak, grade 11, who is a Graphic Design student and entered the category Pin Design

 

Faith Giza, grade 11, who is a Culinary Arts student and entered the category Cake Decorating.

 

Hailey Liebler, grade 12, who is a Culinary Arts student and entered the category

 Baking and Pastry.

 

Silver medalist:

 

Travis Hoover, grade 11, who is a Building Construction student and entered in the category Masonry.

 

Additionally, the following students earned a bye to States:

 

Shiane Chalkley, grade 12, who is a Graphic Design student.  She entered in the category of Chapter Display.

 

Amelia Dovey, grade 11, who is a Health Assistant student.  She entered in the category of Showcase Health.

 

Alora Eshenbaugh, grade 11, who is a Health Assistant student.  She entered in the category of Showcase Health.

 

Alexis Frye, grade 11, who is a Health Assistant student.  She entered in the category of Showcase Health.

 

Hunter Leslie, grade 12, who is an Air Conditioning student.  He entered in the category of Sheet Metal.

 

Bennett Shaw, grade 12, who is an Air Conditioning student.  He entered in the category of Chapter Display.

 

Finally, Carsen Traggiai, grade 12, who studies Air Conditioning, will attend as a Delegate.
