The Knights opened up the 2019-20 season against Butler this past Friday in the Armstrong Tip Off Tournament. The Knights fought hard but lost to the Golden Tornado 45-32. Neveah Ewing led the team with a game high of 17 points. The Knights JV team also lost to Butler 46-22. On Saturday, the Knights rebounded with a total team effort as they held on to defeat West Shamokin, 51-49 in the consolation game. Leading the Knights in scoring were Maddie Boyer with a game high 16 points and Lauren Cihonski with 12 points. The girls JV team defeated West Shamokin 36-14 and were led by Mackenzie McGraw with a game high 14 points behind four 3-pointers.
On Tuesday night they had a total team effort, defeating Kiski Area 63-39. Leading the Knights with a game high 24 points was Nevaeh Ewing. Also scoring in double figures were Nina Shaw with 12 points and Maddie Boyer scoring 10 points. The Knights improved to 2-1 on the season. The JV team defeated Kiski Area with a stifling defensive effort 42-19. Leading the Knights was Hattie McGraw who scored a game high 11 points.
The Knights will open up section play this Thursday evening hosting Highlands.
