Congratulations to Knoch Senior Nix Pawlowski on earning the rank of Eagle with Boy Scout Troop 58.
Nix's project involved constructing a small pavilion alongside the Butler-Freeport Community Trail near the Buffalo Fire Hall. The structure complies with township building codes, and contains a vending machine that offers both bicycle repair parts and refreshments. A bicycle rack with tools attached is built directly adjacent to the pavilion. The Butler-Freeport Community Trail stocks the vending machine with bicycle repair parts, and subsequently receives the profits from those items, which benefit new projects expanding the trail. The Buffalo Fire Hall stocks the vending machine with refreshments, and subsequently receives the profits from those items, which help fund the purchase of new equipment at the fire hall. The pavilion itself has a concrete base and an aluminum roof. The materials and construction of the pavilion were built to last at least 30 years. The entire project, including planning, financing, and construction, took roughly a year and a half.
Congratulations, Nix, on this great accomplishment and great service work.
