Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology Part One  Grades 11 and 12 One Semester .5 Credits Prerequisite: Health


This course investigates the structure and function of the human body. Some of the topics covered will include: basic organization of the body; proper identification of body planes, cavities, and regions; directional terminology; major body systems and how their structure, location and function enable interaction with other parts of the body. This course is for students with an interest in the human body and those interested in entering the health science field: nursing, physician, occupational/respiratory/physical therapist, physical education instructor, etc.
